At least 81 people killed, more than 1,297 injured, 25,000 displaced and severe damage in western Java, including at least 30 people killed and 27 missing due to a landslide at Cikangkareng. Felt (VII) at Tasikmalaya; (VI) at Cianjur and Sukabumi; (V) at Bandung, Bekasi, Bogor and Purwakarta; (IV) at Cibinong, Cikarang, Ciputat, Cirebon, Depok, Jakarta, Pekalongan, Serpong, Tangerang and Yogyakarta; (III) at Karangkates, Klaten, Semarang, Sleman, Tretes and Wonosari. Felt widely on Java. A tsunami of about 1 m was recorded on a tide gauge at Pameungpeuk. Felt (IV) at Denpasar and (II) at Kuta, Bali. Also felt at Ubud.
