Seeing What's at Fault in Subduction Zones: Examining Great Earthquake Megathrusts

Nathan Bangs

University of Texas Institute for Geophysics

Date & Time
Location
Building 3, Room 3240 (main USGS conference room)
Host
David Scholl
Summary

Nathan is interested in structural development and tectonic processes along convergent margins. He uses advanced MCS methods to acquire 3-D images of structure and stratigraphy within subduction zones in order to examine tectonic activity and deformational styles.
Joint seminar with the Tsunami Source Working Group.
