Comments
The Tijeras-Canoncito fault was assigned a vertical slip rate of 0.09 mm/yr in the 1996 national seismic hazard maps. There were and still are no fault-specific data from which to calculate slip rates. The 0.09 mm/yr value is from Wong and others (1995, 1996), who, by analogy, assigned this fault the same left-lateral slip rate that they had calculated for the left-lateral Embudo fault.
