Comments
This fault was included in 1996 based on preliminary data from dePolo (1996, written commun.). The slip rate subsequently assigned by dePolo (1998) was 0.335 mm/yr based on an empirical relationship between height of basal fault facets and slip rate. For consistency with the way other 1996 slip rates were treated, this fault is assigned a slip rate of 0.1 mm/yr in the absence of any other data. The characteristic magnitude for this fault is fixed at M7.5 even though the length of the fault would permit a larger earthquake.
