Reinforced concrete frame building with timber roof
This construction type is preferred for multi-family housing and it is most common in urban areas of Malaysia. The structural system consists of reinforced concrete cast in situ columns and beam frame to provide structural strength predominantly for vertical loads. The roof consists of timber trusses. These houses are designed according to the British Code BS 8110 without seismic design considerations.
