Learning from the Past, Preparing for the Future: Earthquake s in Southern California

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the last great earthquake to strike southern California, the magnitude 7.9 January 9, 1857 Fort Tejon earthquake on the San Andreas fault, Dr. Jones will explore the history of great earthquakes on the San Andreas fault, the expected future earthquakes on that fault, and what this means for southern California today.
