Five people were injured from a collapsed elevator in north Padang. Two people were injured from collapsed fences. Felt (V) at Padang; (IV) at Pekan Baru and Sibolga; (III) at Painan, Sumatra. Also felt at Payakumbuh. Felt (III) at Petaling Jaya; (II) at Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Also felt at Keluang, Melaka and Shah Alam. Felt (II) in Singapore. Tsunami wave amplitudes (1/2 of Max wave height) were recorded as follows: 0.18M at Padang.
