The following is a release by the United States Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center: An earthquake occurred 115 km (70 miles) SW of Port Blair, Andaman Islands, India and 975 km (610 miles) WSW of BANGKOK, Thailand at 5:40 AM MDT, Jun 27, 2008 (5:40 PM local time in India). The magnitude and location may be revised when additional data and further analysis results are available. There have been no reports of damage.
Felt (IV) at Port Blair and (III) at Chennai. Also felt at Bhubaneshwar and Tambaram.
