  • The following is a release by the United States Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center: A moderate earthquake occurred 205 km (125 miles) WSW of MEXICO CITY, D.F., Mexico at 8:30 AM MDT, Aug 11, 2006 (9:30 AM CDT in Mexico). The magnitude and location may be revised when additional data and further analysis results are available. There have been no reports of damage.
